Objective

On successful completion of this course students will be able to demonstrate:

• Knowledge and critical understanding of the established principles of business and management, and of the way in which these principles have developed
• Ability to apply concepts and principles to new business and management situations
• Knowledge and understanding of the main methods of enquiry in business and management, and the ability to evaluate critical the suitability of different approaches to business problem-solving
• An understanding of the limits of knowledge and how this influences analyses and interpretations based on that knowledge
• Ability to effectively a range of techniques to undertake critical analyses of business scenarios and to propose solutions
• Ability to effectively communicate results of studies/research to a variety of typical audiences
• Ability to develop new general skills relevant to the area of business and management, including the development of skills for employment in positions of responsibility within organizations

Entry Requirements

• Successful graduates of the NCC Education International Diploma programme or;
• Students who have any local or international qualification which is deemed to be of a similar level to the NCC Education International Diploma programme. These shall be agreed in advance with NCC Education.

For people whose first language is not English, the required standard on the programme. is as follows;

• IELTS 5.5
• TOERL 550

Structure
The International Advanced Diploma in Business consists of seven core modules, and two optional modules from which students must choose one. Each module is worth 12.5% of the overall qualification.

Academic Progression
Successful graduates of the IADB are eligible to apply to enrol for the BSc (Hons) in Business Administration validated and awarded by the University of Wales. For more information, please go to page 18.

Career Progression
Successfully completing an undergraduate degree, either through NCC Education or at one of our university partners, has allowed many students to effectively seek employment in the fields of Finance, Management and Commerce, amongst others.
